About me
Olga Poalelungi has over three decades of professional experience in migration management and public policy. She served as Director of the Bureau of Migration and Asylum of the Republic of Moldova (2012–2021), contributing to aligning national migration policies with European standards. Her research focuses on international migration, immigration and integration policies, demographic change, labour mobility, and the sustainability of social systems. She has contributed to the development of the National Strategy on Migration and Asylum and to the elaboration of the Extended Migration Profile of the Republic of Moldova, in cooperation with international organisations. Olga’s work supports evidence-based policymaking and strengthens institutional capacities for managing migration and demographic processes.
