I am sociologist, social gerontologist, assistant professor at the Department of Sociology of Knowledge and Education at the University of Białystok. In the early years of my academic career, my research interests were focused on the issue of violence against older people. The subsequent years of my research were dedicated to the exploration of the perception of the ageing human body. In recent years, the subject of old age and older people in the perception of representatives of different generations has been the focus of my research. Furthermore, I am engaged in initiatives that are focused on the dissemination of knowledge and the popularisation of science. I collaborate with the Białystok Senior Council, delivering guest lectures at Universities of the Third Age and participating in local projects with the aim of diagnosing the needs of older people.
