About me
Csaba Kucsera, PhD, is a sociologist, and an associate professor at the Sociology Departmentof Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Social Sciences. His research and teaching activitiescover various aspects of ageing from the micro level to meso and macro levels, includinginformal care and its effects on families; potential of ICT-enabled services for long-term care;intergenerational solidarity and fairness (equity); ageism; sustainability and adequacy of socialprotection systems; and European and national social policies on Active and Healthy Ageing.Csaba occasionally volunteers as an expert on ageing for various Hungarian and internationalagencies and NGOs. Earlier he worked for the European Commission’s DG Joint ResearchCentre as a temporary agent / research fellow for three years researching EU-wide ICT-enabled services and innovation for supporting DG Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion’swork programme on ageing.
